Additionally, the Agency\u2019s proposed definition of \u201cbehavioral advertising\u201d would needlessly limit access to high-quality journalism supported by first-party advertising and impose new compliance requirements that are unsupported by the California Consumer Privacy Act, FTC guidance, or other state privacy laws.<\/p>\n<p>The Alliance urges the Agency to revise its proposal to protect the vital role of news publishers in providing reliable information to consumers\u00a0for free or low cost,\u00a0and supporting California\u2019s
