In this role, Greg will work closely with the Alliance leadership team and staff to lead key legislative initiatives for the Alliance.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Greg brings over 20 years of communications and technology policy experience to N\/MA. His extensive experience includes working across several branches of the federal government including the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the United States Senate, the National Telecommunications Information Administration (NTIA), and the U.S. House of Representatives.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Prior to arriving at N\/MA, Greg handled broadband regulatory policy at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA), advocating on a wide range of issues affecting rural internet providers. Prior to NRECA, Greg was Counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Sciences and Transportation where he advised Senate Majority Leader John Thune (then Chairman) on telecommunications and broadband policy. He also served as Counsel to current Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Roger Wicker, then Chair of the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Communications, Technology, and the Internet, advising the Senator and committee members on a wide range of communications policy matters.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Greg also has key federal agency experience, serving as Wireline Legal Advisor to FCC Commissioner Deborah Tate on broadband and internet policy and as a Communications Policy Specialist at the National Telecommunications Information Administration (NTIA). Additionally, Greg served in senior roles in the U.S. House of Representatives, advising on copyright, telecommunications, and transportation policy. He was also an attorney at a leading Washington, DC law firm representing a number of prominent broadband and internet companies.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Greg earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Fordham University, and his Juris Doctor from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Greg starts in his new role on April 1 and will lead the Alliance government affairs team.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI\u2019m very excited to welcome Greg to the News\/Media Alliance team,\u201d said Alliance President and CEO Danielle Coffey. \u201cHe brings a tremendous breadth of experience, at a particularly pivotal time for the news media industry.
