The bill, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/118th-congress\/house-bill\/9108?s=1&amp;r=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">H.R. 9108<\/a>, is cosponsored by Representative Delia Ramirez (D-IL) and Delegate Eleanor Norton (D-DC).<\/p>\n<p>Rep. Schiff <a href=\"https:\/\/schiff.house.gov\/news\/press-releases\/schiff-introduces-bill-to-extend-foia-transparency-to-judicial-branch-restore-faith-in-the-judicial-system#:~:text=%E2%80%9CMy%20Judicial%20FOIA%20Expansion%20Act,faith%20in%20our%20judicial%20branch.%E2%80%9D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">described<\/a> the bill as providing \u201cthe American people greater insight into the inner workings of courts by providing public and journalistic access to the Judiciary\u2019s administrative records.\u201d The bill provides for exceptions to records requests, including matters related to ongoing cases, information not in the possession of the Judiciary, and
